The mission of Hope Center for Children is to build stable, healthy families and to provide children a safe place from abuse and neglect. In 2013, The Ellen Hines Smith Girls’ Home and Children’s Shelter of the Upstate merged together to form one organization, Hope Center for Children. This merger created a greater pooling of resources to provide a continuum of services for children and families in Spartanburg and the surrounding areas. Learn more about their services and their work in the community below.

This name captures the heart of each program: providing hope to children and families. Since the merger, HCFC has continued to expand services, and today six cohesive programs fulfill the mission. Their programs consist of Triple P, Clinical Support Services, Empowering Families, Transitional Living, Anchor House, and Faucette House. Learn about all six programs and how they meet a range of child and family needs.

There are many ways to support Hope Center for Children to fulfill family and community needs through volunteering, available job positions at HCFC, or becoming a member of the Patron Society.
