Cinderella by Ballet Spartanburg Premieres October 21 – 23!
Come watch the premiere of Cinderella presented by the Ballet Spartanburg from October 21 – 23 at the Chapman Cultural Center auditorium. The magic of a glass slipper. The strike of midnight. Two horrible but funny stepsisters, a Fairy Godmother, a Prince, a magical pumpkin, an enchanting ballroom, of course, Cinderella, the sweet and kind young daughter who is left fatherless. Sergei Prokofiev, completed this score in 1944. It is his most popular and melodious of all time. For fifty-six years, Ballet Spartanburg has been enriching, engaging and educating the Spartanburg community by providing the highest quality dance education, performance and outreach. The organization has created one of the most successful Arts in Education programs reaching over 15,000 students annually with educational outreach programs, providing new classes and instructors that center around a higher standard and offers quality dance education.
THE CENTER FOR DANCE EDUCATION
The Center for Dance Education is an instructional center with four Divisions to challenge students to consistently develop their physical, artistic, and emotional level. There are programs for a variety of ages ranging from the Toddler division, Tap and Twirl, Creative Division, Pre-Ballet through Ballet V, Open Student Division, Advanced Lower, Pre-Pro, Trainee, Open Adult Division, and Adult Ballroom. Ballet Spartanburg 2022 – 2023 Season Returns!
Ballet Spartanburg will kick off their 22-23 season with Cinderella on October 21-23rd, followed up with The Nutcracker from December 9-11th with Spartanburg Philharmonic, Studio Series: The Company from February 10-11th, Intertwine on March 24-25th, and The Great Gatsby on April 21-22nd to end the season.
