The Friends of the Spartanburg County Public Libraries’ primary purpose is to support the Spartanburg County Public Libraries by providing resources for special events like author visits and exhibits, the Dennis L. Bruce Author Series, the SCPL Magazine, year round book sales at two locations, new books and materials for the Libraries and Summer Reading programs for all ages – children, teens and adults.
Spartanburg County Public Libraries’ mission is to inspire people to pursue lifelong learning for a thriving Spartanburg County. Built on deeply rooted history in Spartanburg since 1885, SPCPL delivers the best service possible to the citizens of Spartanburg County.
