Spartanburg Area Conservancy (SPACE) is a nonprofit organization based in Spartanburg, SC, focusing on land conservation and parks management, and environmental outreach. SPACE is known in the community for our system of public preserves, most notably the Cottonwood Trail, where we work to provide public access to green spaces and the natural world. They work promote, protect, and preserve over 5,000 acres of land in the Spartanburg community.
The Spartanburg Area Conservancy has seen trail usage increase by 45% in the past year which means that SPACE needs to invest more to maintain their green spaces and continue protecting them for generations to come. They are asking the community to help turn a $2,500 match from Montgomery Development into $5,000 towards conservation efforts in Spartanburg this Giving Tuesday.
