We will be discussing what solidarity means to us as individuals and how it impacts equity. One of our favorite writers\, bell hooks\, says this about solidarity: \n“Solidarity is not the same as support. To experience solidarity\, we must have a community of interests\, shared beliefs and goals around which to unite\, to build Sisterhood. Support can be occasional. It can be given and just as easily withdrawn. Plus\, TCMU-Spartanburg will host a variety of activities–from learning how to use a lunch tray to mock classrooms–geared at preparing young learners for their first school experience! This event will take place on Magnolia Street. All event vendors will be a part of the Upstate community and have a primary focus on student success\, childhood development\, and school readiness.
