Our month long theme for March is our mission statement: Equity for All! So it is only fitting that our discussion be centered on the question “What is Equity?”

The word equity has become a common term in conversations surrounding racism, inclusion and diversity. Equity is defined as “the quality of being fair and impartial” but it is far more nuanced than that. How can we achieve “equity for all” in a society where marginalized groups are often not considered when it comes to access of resources, fair economic practices, education, etc.? How does equity and intersectionality co-exist? We will consider these topics and more during our discussion! Will you join us? We encourage you to do so!
