Along with Speaking Down Barriers April theme of ‘End Oppression’ we will be asking the question: How do we move on with our work when mistakes have been made or done harm?”

The work of achieving equity for all and ending oppression is not an exact science. In any work worth doing, mistakes will be made. Harm could possibly be done even with the purest and most sincere intentions. Perfection can never be the goal because it is unattainable. Consistency, though, is.

So what can be done to continue the work we may have chosen to do while learning mistakes that may be made? How can we correct and overcome potential harm and still move forward? How can we promote healing afterwards?

We look forward to discussing this with you all on Monday starting at 6pm!
