A High-flying Musical Adventure
Let your imagination take flight with a fantasy-filled program led by guest conductor Troy Quinn. With Dvorak’s high-flying, spirited Carnival Overture, the concert takes off then rockets to even greater heights with John Powell’s cinematic How To Train Your Dragon. Playful and triumphant through the first half, the concert resumes with the lyrical, climbing, and ultimately soaring notes of Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending performed with the brilliant Fabiola Kim on violin. Finally, be swept away by the ultimate Russian fairytale found in Stravinksy’s The Firebird. Join us, and let your heart soar with the music.
