April Community Gathering: Creativity As A Tool Of Resistance

Our theme for the month of April is Creativity As A Tool of Resistance. We’ve discussed this theme in one of our previous Healing Us offerings and we will be expanding upon it further at this offering to kick off the month of April.
Art has often been used as a way to protest against the injustices that we’ve faced in our modern society. Whether it be through visual art, spoken word, poetry, etc., creatives have often led that charge. But when we think of our own forms of creativity, how can we use that as resistance in our personal lives? What does that look like? What does that mean for us as individuals? How can we expand our art into our own resistance work? These are just a few questions that we will explore in this discussion.
