With the rumble of 100–300 motorcycles, The Toy Run is one of South Carolina’s largest motorcycle rides, raising money and toys for children affected by domestic violence. Established in 1974, The Shop is a social club passionate about Harley-Davidsons and supporting the local community.
The club’s 40th Annual Toy Run Event is set for December 7, 2024. Last year, the group raised an impressive $10,000 and filled a box truck with toys and bikes. All proceeds and toy donations benefit the local Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Agency, Project R.E.S.T.
The holiday season can be especially challenging for families affected by domestic violence. Financial struggles and heightened stress during this time can worsen tensions, leading to increased violence. Many families escaping abuse may not have the means to provide their children with a joyful holiday. The Shop works tirelessly to ease this burden, allowing survivors to focus on creating wonderful holiday memories with their children.
